Challenge: Bulk Bundle Deckbuild
27 July 2026
The idea: buy one bulk bundle from a site that sells them — Magic Madhouse's bulk commons/uncommons/legendary bundles are a good fit — and build your deck using only cards that came out of that bundle, plus basic lands. Whatever legendary you get (or the best one in the bundle) becomes your commander.
Why it stays interesting
You don't know exactly what you're getting until it arrives, so this plays a bit like a sealed-deck draft: you're evaluating a fixed, random pool and building the strongest 100 cards you can out of it, rather than assembling a deck card-by-card from a wishlist.
Cost control
The bundle has one fixed, agreed-upon price — everyone in the pod buys the same size/price bundle, so nobody's deck costs more than anyone else's no matter what they pull. This is the most "blind box" version of budget control on this list: the cap is baked into the purchase itself rather than something you have to track card-by-card.
